our initiatives
Empowering Maternal Care Across Africa & the Caribbean
In 2025, we had the incredible opportunity to make a difference in Accra, Ghana, where we delivered essential medical supplies, equipment, and support to maternity units. The impact was profound, empowering healthcare workers, and offering hope to countless mothers and their babies.
Now, we are committed to expanding our reach across more African nations — Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast — and Caribbean countries including Jamaica, St. Lucia, Dominica, and Antigua. Every donation will go toward purchasing equipment, providing care packages, and supporting local healthcare initiatives to ensure mothers and babies receive the care they deserve.
the community bleeds programme
The Community Bleeds programme is an initiative to raise awareness and educate people about period poverty and the need to tackle it with a safe and sustainable approach, which could either debunk existing cultural approaches or enhance them through awareness or practical demonstrations of product use.
Padup Africa, as a menstrual sensitisation initiative, has successfully conducted 23 menstrual product awareness drives in 52 communities and schools. also facilitated training in 12 communities across Africa. Our target is to ensure that no African adolescent girl child will be left out of school due to lack of menstrual period products or inadequate information on what to use, when to use and how to use any healthy menstrual product accessible and durable for her.
community legal outreach
BSGN Foundation, in partnership with Elevators and BSGN founders, is committed to empowering elderly Black and Brown women through targeted legal education and support. Our initiative includes hosting legal clinics, workshops, and talks designed to inform and advise community members on critical issues such as inheritance tax and estate planning.
Key Components of Our Program:
Legal Clinics: Providing accessible, in-person legal advice at community centers, tailored to the needs of elderly women of colour.
Educational Workshops: Hosting sessions that cover topics like inheritance tax laws, estate planning, and other legal rights pertinent to aging communities.
Community Engagement: Visiting local community centers to reach women on wheels and ensure our services are inclusive and accessible.
These efforts are delivered by experienced professionals from Elevators and BSGN founders, dedicated to fostering informed and empowered communities.
